InMage Systems Sponsors SNW Europe 2008

InMage to Present Powerful Disaster Recovery Customer Case Study

London, UK – 27th October 2008 – InMage Systems (www.inmage.com), the leading provider of disaster recovery and business continuity software, is participating as a silver sponsor at Storage Networking World Europe - the most comprehensive exhibition in Central Europe dedicated to storage and data management technologies.

Tom Brierley, EMEA Systems Engineering Manager will be presenting on Wednesday 28th October and discussing the implementation of the company’s DR-Scout flagship disaster recovery and business continuity software at law firm Howard Rice LLP.

Taking place between 15:05 and 15:35 as part of the conference Track F in room Fantasie 2 on Level C3 in the Frankfurt Congress Center, this tutorial titled ‘VMWare, Disaster Recovery & the San Andréa’s Fault” – How Howard Rice implemented a Geo-Virtualised DR System’ will showcase how the customer addressed the issue of data protection to prevent the location of its primary data centre residing on top of an earthquake fault area from becoming a risk to its business continuity strategy. Thanks to InMage DR-Scout, the firm virtualized and spread its servers and applications across multiple geographical sites, implemented anywhere to anywhere data mobility, and utilised intelligent systems to manage fail-over, failback and replication of key applications such as SharePoint, and Exchange.

Tom Brierley has over 25 years’ experience in the data management, protection and storage industries, garnered at companies including StorageTek (now Sun), Legato Systems, EMC, Securant and NetApp. He also brings a healthy and humorous perspective to the world of storage, servers and operating systems and offers an exciting insight into a virtualized future of applications, servers and storage, as told through his case study presentation.

InMage DR-Scout 4.2 was released this month as an enhanced version of the software for virtual server environments, and further helps companies reduce cost and complexity in business continuity and disaster recovery. It improves recovery time and recovery point objectives across heterogeneous storage environments and offers customers real-time, block-level data protection with granular file rollback.

“I am excited to bring this case study to the SNW Europe 2008 audience because it is compelling on so many levels,” said Tom Brierley, EMEA Systems Engineering Manager at InMage. “Protecting your data and ensuring business continuity are a top priority when your datacentre sits on the San Andréa’s Fault or any other disaster-prone area. The ‘if’ becomes ‘when’ and you can’t afford to be unprepared. Howard Rice recognised this and with InMage DR-Scout took the right steps to ensure it can continue to successfully operate should its primary datacentre go down.”
